Our Veterinarians
Nancy Johnson, DVM, CVA, CVMMP
Veterinarian
Dr. Nancy Johnson, DVM, is a seasoned veterinarian with a passion for healing and a heart for animals and their families. A graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 1984, she is also certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Advanced Veterinary Medical Manipulation through the Chi Institute, allowing her to provide gentle, integrative care tailored to each patient’s needs. Originally from suburban Detroit, Dr. Johnson’s favorite moments on the job are when she sees families joyfully reunited with their beloved pets after illness or trauma.
At home, she’s surrounded by a loving crew, her daughter Dana, brother Rob, five horses, five chickens, three dogs, and seven cats. When she’s not at the clinic, she enjoys liberty games with her horses, trail riding, singing traditional Gaidhlig songs, and curling up with a good book.
If she were a superhero, she would be known as “Mana Mamma” since she has a special knack for encouraging even the most reluctant patients to eat, a true superpower that speaks to her nurturing spirit.
Veterinarians
Jackson Shelton, DVM
Dr. Jackson Shelton is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for providing thorough, compassionate care to every patient. Originally from Pensacola, Florida, he earned his B.S. from Mississippi University and his DVM from the University College of Dublin in 2022. His clinical interests include anesthesia and pain management, dentistry, and internal medicine, all areas where his attention to detail and patient-focused approach truly shine. Dr. Shelton brings energy, resilience, and genuine care to every case, making him a valued member of the veterinary team.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Shelton enjoys spending time outdoors, running, CrossFit, and indulging in his love for cookies. He shares his life with his partner, Erika, and their greyhound, Seamus.
If he were a superhero, he would be known as “Endurance Man,” with the ability to keep going on and on for hours.
Sarah Bromley Yamada, DVM
Dr. Sarah Bromley Yamada is a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian who brings a blend of clinical excellence and heartfelt care to every patient she sees. She earned both her B.S. in Animal Sciences and her DVM from Oregon State University, graduating in 2017. Originally from Eugene, Oregon, Dr. Yamada has a special passion for improving her patients’ quality of life, whether through wellness visits for playful kittens or in the operating room where she thrives in surgery. Her warm, approachable nature and commitment to animal well-being make her a valued member of the veterinary team.
At home, she shares her life with her husband, three stepchildren, her baby son, and a lively mix of pets, including three cats, one dog, and eight chickens. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, dirt biking, and horseback riding when she gets the chance.
If she were a superhero, she would be known as “Super Sarah” with the ability to shape-shift into any animal, perfect for someone who truly understands them all.
Mara Supan, DVM, CVA, CVMMP
Dr. Mara Supan is a compassionate and collaborative veterinarian who believes in creating personalized care plans by working closely with clients as partners in their pets’ health. She earned her B.S. in Biology with an emphasis in cellular and molecular biology from Pacific University and her DVM from Oregon State University in 2011. Dr. Supan is also certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Veterinary Food Therapy through the Chi Institute, bringing a holistic and integrative approach to her practice. Originally from Phoenix, she enjoys building meaningful connections with her patients, their families, and her veterinary team. Dr. Supan’s thoughtful, individualized approach to care makes her a trusted and valued member of the veterinary team.
Outside of work, Dr. Supan leads an active and creative life filled with outdoor adventures like hiking, biking, running, paddle boarding, and gardening. She also enjoys reading, drawing, painting, and spending time with her beloved nieces and nephews. At home, she shares life with her husband, Dr. Darren Rausch, two dogs—Dash and Sherman—three cats—Avogrado, Wyatt, and Murray—and a flock of chickens.
If she were a superhero, she’d be known as the “Metallic Chameleon,” with the ability to use the strengths of her organized Chinese medicine mindset to gracefully adapt to any situation.

Hospital Manager
Stefanie Cano
As Hospital Manager, Stefanie brings a combined experience of pet advocacy in non-profit canine rescue work and over 10 years serving in various roles within veterinary practice settings. Her work is driven by a deep commitment ensuring smooth operations for optimal patient care, meaningful client experiences and supporting our collaborative team with contagious enthusiasm, grounded in nurturing the ever-wonderful human-animal bond.
Outside of work, she finds joy in hunting for second hand treasures and agates, fanning over her husband’s latest recipes and spending time out in Oregon’s beauty with their 2 energetic pups, Ava and June.
If Stefanie were a superhero, she would become ‘Pro-Polisher’ – leaving everything she touches with an extra bit of shine!

Jerrah, CVT
Jerrah is a passionate biologist and dedicated client educator who brings knowledge, enthusiasm, and a love for animals to every part of her work. Whether she’s guiding clients through their pet’s care or going goat walking, she approaches each day with curiosity, compassion, and a warm, welcoming attitude.
Her ability to connect with both people and animals makes her an invaluable part of the team and a trusted resource for pet parents.
Jerrah’s superhero name would be Sure Shot.
Beth, CVT
She enjoys educating clients and building lasting relationships with patients and their families over the years. Beth is passionate about helping pets and their owners live happy, healthy lives together and finds it rewarding to watch patients grow through every stage of life.
Outside of work, Beth enjoys writing and has published a book. She also enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons, baking, and attending Renaissance Faires.
If she were a superhero, Beth would be Quote Queen, armed with the perfect movie quote for every occasion.
Rebekah, CVT
She takes pride in caring for hospitalized patients, providing wound care, and utilizing her technical skills to support recovery. Rebekah especially enjoys nursing patients back to health and has a strong interest in large animal medicine.
Outside of work, Rebekah enjoys horseback riding and training, equine massage, hunting, drawing, leather work, and spending time with her husband, Derrick, their son, Noah, their two cats, CC and Romeo, and their three horses, Beaux, Desi, and Dakota.
If she were a superhero, Rebekah would be Wonder Woman—a nickname given to her by her grandpa after Noah was born. It reflects her strength, toughness, and determination, qualities that have only grown stronger through motherhood.
Tyler, CVT
Tyler is a dedicated and compassionate team member who finds true joy in helping both pets and their people. A lifelong learner, he brings curiosity, empathy, and a genuine desire to grow with every experience.
If Tyler S. were a superhero, he’d be Big T—master of time travel, bending the past and future to his will.
Lukas
Lukas is a young and driven team member with an infectious enthusiasm for animals. Known for his boundless energy and dedication, he brings a unique, playful spirit to the clinic—some might even say he’s secretly (or maybe not so secretly) 12 dogs in a human costume! His passion for pets and their well-being is evident in every interaction, making him a valued and cherished member of the veterinary team.
If Lukas were a superhero, he’d be Dogman—truly just 12 dogs in a human costume, bringing loyalty, energy, and a love for adventure wherever he goes.

Favorite part of the job: Helping doggies, kitties and their people leave with smiles on their faces.
Family: My mama and stepfather, and a big family with lots of cousins.

Favorite part of the job: When the cats give me blinky eyes.
Family: One dog, five cats, seven ducks, eight chickens and a rooster.
Hobbies: Piano, wood working and gardening.

Diana
Veterinary Assistant
Hometown: Eugene, OR
Favorite part of the job: Meeting all the different animals and comforting anxious pets.
Family: Andrew, my partner; our cats Olive, Lois, Henry and Reno.
Hobbies: Puzzles and Hiking
Superhero name and power: Super Snuggler – snuggles the needy baby pets.
Savannah
Savannah has been working in veterinary medicine for one year. She attended Florida State College at Jacksonville, the University of North Florida, and the University of Oregon.
She enjoys spending time with patients and helping make their visits as stress-free as possible. Savannah is passionate about continuing to learn more about veterinary medicine, preventative care, and common health concerns that affect many patients.
Outside of work, Savannah enjoys riding horses, photography, cooking, and hiking. She also loves spending time with her best friend, Roslyn, watching movies, taking mini road trips, and sharing new adventures.
If she were a superhero, Savannah would be The Mentalist, with the ability to read the minds of everyone around her, including her patients.

Wendy is a psychology graduate with a true passion for connecting with both people and their pets. Outside of her work, Wendy is the holiday decor queen, always adding a festive touch wherever she goes. Her ability to connect with others and create a positive, welcoming atmosphere makes her a beloved member of the team.
If Wendy were a superhero, she’d be Queen of Halloween—able to fill every room in her home with amazing second-hand Halloween treasures, creating a spooktacular atmosphere year-round.
Midge
Midge is a former graphic designer who has seamlessly transitioned into a client care pro, bringing creativity and a warm, personal touch to every interaction. With her keen eye for detail and passion for helping others, she’s always ready to greet clients with a smile and a story that makes them feel at ease. Midge’s friendly nature and ability to connect with both pets and their families make her a valued and welcoming member of the team.
If Midge were a superhero, she’d be Mighty Midge with Dynomite Personality—small in size but packing a punch with her explosive energy and unforgettable charm.

Debbie C. is a longtime veterinary assistant whose gentle presence and calm demeanor make her especially skilled at working with nervous cats.
