Frequently Asked Questions
Answers from Your Trusted Veterinary Team in Eugene, OR
At The Veterinary Hospital, we believe that informed pet parents make the best decisions for their pets. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions we receive from our clients. If you have additional questions, we’re just a phone call or message away.
What makes The Veterinary Hospital special?
We were founded on the idea of caring for both sides of the leash. That means not only delivering the best veterinary medicine possible for your pet—but also ensuring you feel heard, supported, and cared for. From answering the phone with a real person to offering warm cookies in the waiting room, everything we do is guided by kindness, trust, and community.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes! We are currently welcoming new clients and their pets to our veterinary hospital in Eugene, OR. Whether you’re new to the area or just looking for a fresh approach to veterinary care, we’d love to meet you and your pet.
Can I schedule acupuncture or chiropractic care if I see another veterinarian for regular checkups?
Absolutely. Dr. Johnson and Dr. Supan are certified in acupuncture and veterinary medical manipulation (chiropractic). We’re happy to work alongside your current veterinarian to provide these therapies for your pet’s comfort and mobility.
Are you the clinic that bakes cookies?
Yes, that’s us! One of our favorite traditions is baking fresh cookies every morning in the hospital. It’s just one of the small touches we offer to make visits a little more comforting for you and your pet.
Do you offer wellness plans?
We do. We offer four wellness plans tailored to your pet’s life stage. Each plan includes unlimited exams and discounted services, making it easier to stay on top of preventative care with predictable monthly payments. Ask us which plan is right for your pet.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we’ve partnered with CareCredit to offer six-month, interest-free financing options. It’s a helpful way to manage unexpected veterinary expenses while still getting your pet the care they need.
What does it mean to be AAHA Accredited?
Being an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital means we’ve met the highest standards in veterinary medicine. Only 15% of animal hospitals in the U.S. and Canada achieve this designation. Our accreditation reflects our ongoing commitment to exceptional patient care, safety, and service for pets, clients, and our team.
Why are you closed for lunch on Fridays?
Every Friday during lunch, our team sets aside time for continuing education and training. We use this opportunity to stay current on the latest veterinary practices and invite guest speakers to expand our knowledge. All so we can deliver the best possible care to your pet.
Do you accept emergency cases?
While we operate by appointment, we understand that emergencies happen. If your pet is experiencing an urgent issue, please call us first so we can determine how to best assist you. If your pet needs after-hours care or specialized treatment, we work closely with the Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Eugene to ensure seamless support.
How can I establish care at The Veterinary Hospital?
It’s easy! Give us a call or fill out our online appointment request form. We’ll schedule a time to meet your pet, and if you’d like, we’re happy to give you a tour of the hospital. We love showing new families around and introducing them to our compassionate team.
